Need little help on setting CoA. Understand that Xero does not have accounts hierarchy and reporting can be set to group/aggregate several accounts to show a sum of the several accounts in a new group name.
But I'm having issues with Xero not allowing same accounts names for two different accounts. I can understand this as there are no sub-accounts or hierarchy, but how then shall I solve the problem of having same accounts name as I categorize certain expenses and the categories are the same i.e..:
Maintenance Expense
Interior
Landscape
Building
Site Enhancement Expense
Interior
Landscape
Building
Is the only way to solve this by having a code as the first letter of the duplicate account names? Say, like "M: Interior" and "SE: Interior"?
Any advice from more experienced users would be very appreciated.
